How do I connect nCube to my home network?

The nCube hub connects to your home network using either the supplied LAN cable or using your home wifi network.

LAN cable: Just plug it in and power up the hub.  If you take a look at the devices attached to your home broadband box you should see the nCube Hub and the local IP address assigned to it.  You can even browse to that IP address and access nCube locally.

WiFi connection: This is slightly more complex.  When you first power up nCube without a LAN cable connection the hub will have it's own wifi access point.  Now follow these steps:

1. Use your mobile, tablet or laptop to connect to the nCube wifi - it will be NC-xxxx (where xxxx will be a unique set of numbers and characters).

2. The next step depends if you use the app or the browser:

2.a. If using the app on mobile/tablet: the app will show a page asking you to enter your home wifi identity and password. Enter these then click restart networking.  Reconnect your mobile/tablet to your home network (may happen automatically).  Close the app and re-start it and it will now show the User Acitvation screen.

2.b. If using the browser on mobile/tablet/app: browse to http://10.0.0.1 and you will see an nCube page asking you to enter your home wifi identity and password. Enter these then click restart networking.  Reconnect your mobile/tablet to your home network (may happen automatically).  Go to http://ncubehome.com/myhub (which will redirect to the local IP address) and it will now show the User Acitvation screen.
